About Seeds of Support

Welcome to Seeds of Support. My name is Janice Roodsari and I founded Seeds of Support in 2018 when I started my business as a Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and Reiki Practitioner. I truly love supporting the healing process and holding space for life’s transitions. I began my nursing career as a Labor Nurse in 2005 and had the privilege of witnessing hundreds of babies meet their parents before I myself became a mother. I have worked in several hospital settings and often found myself frustrated with the systems that made supporting my patients difficult. In 2009 I became a mother of twins and I stepped away from my work as a nurse to care for my new babies. It was terribly beautiful paradigm shift and I felt unprepared for the many lessons parenthood would teach me. I was at home for seven years with my children, non-profit, and volunteer work before rejoining work outside of the home. I created Seeds of Support to help others through the transition to parenthood. My business grew and changed right along with me and my family. I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and have spent many years learning about biologically normal newborn behavior, lactation, and infant oral function, all while honing my craft as an energy worker supporting others with Reiki and Intuitive Energy Work though their transitions with illnesses, grief, and end of life care. I hold sacred space for my clients with trauma informed care. After training in CranioSacral Fascial Therapy, my business has again evolved. I am releasing my work managing lactation and am refocusing on supporting clients through challenging times with bodywork and energy work.
